Prep School 3-11

Nurturing yet academically inspiring, all children are encouraged to develop a thirst for learning and knowledge, whilst acquiring a strong foundation in literacy, numeracy and the wider curriculum. Our environment gets the best from every single individual.

Senior School 12-16

We offer a varied and broad curriculum in the Senior School.  Our reputation is not only strong in the sciences and medical pathways – we have a vibrant programme in the arts, music and humanities, meaning we can cater for both the intellectual and creative development of our pupils.

Sixth Form 16–18

Our students are hugely motivated, driven and focused.  Along with our expert advice and guidance, we enable them to aim for the best universities and future career paths, gaining a valuable competitive advantage in today’s world.

Academic Results

This year, we’re Top School in Wales for GCSE results.  Our academic results are consistently high – we are in the ‘top 70’ of all schools across the United Kingdom for A-Level and within the top 60 for GCSE (Daily Telegraph).  Also Top 20 UK co-educational independent school in The Times.

Meet Our Team

Our experienced School Leadership Team (SLT) are responsible for maintaining the high educational standards for which St. Michael’s School is known.  The team meets regularly to review school effectiveness and plan the strategic direction for our school, with the principal aim of enabling our students to succeed and achieve their potential.  The Operational Management Team (OMT) also meets regularly, comprising the SLT and other members of the school’s middle management, to facilitate smooth day to day running of the school and embed excellent practice throughout all levels of the organisation.
