Admission process

Admission Process

1. Submit your completed form

Prospective parents from within the UK can download our St Mikes Application Form and return the completed form to us by email, fax or post. Alternatively, parents can complete and submit an online application.  Informal visits and tours of the school are also welcome, prior to submitting an application.

2. Entry requirements and availability check

Upon receiving your application, we can then review your previous attainment, school reports and academic history. We will then contact you to discuss an interview and school tour after reviewing your application.  An entrance examination is taken by all prospective entrants to the senior years, whereas Sixth Form entry is contingent on certain GCSE results.

At St Michael’s School, each year we have a small number of academic and sporting scholarships available.  All prospective pupils hoping to enter the senior school sit an entrance examination and those scoring sufficiently highly are eligible to apply for an academic scholarship.  An entrance exam takes place annually in the first week of November and at a range of other times by appointment.  Prospective entrants to any school year can be considered for a scholarship. The academic scholarships are subject to: • School reports for the previous two years • Exceptional achievement in the entrance exam (the threshold for scholarships varies from year to year) • A meeting with the Headmaster Any parents still wishing to make an enquiry in relation to scholarship places that may be still available please download Scholarship Entry – September-2017
