At the start of the academic year we were delighted to learn that former Head Boy Gary Griffiths had won the MOCSA Young Welsh Singer of the year award. Baritone, Gary scooped this prestigious award which helped boost the career of Bryn Terfel. At the end of the year Gary won London’s  Guildhall School of Music Gold Medal. He is the second Welsh person to win the Gold Medal since it began in 1915.  The first being Bryn Terfel.
