St. Michael’s School A Level Results 2013

St. Michael’s School, Llanelli is celebrating continued success at A Level; we wish to congratulate the A Level Class of 2013, who again achieved excellent examination results.

In August 2012 the school achieved outstanding A level results and was ranked 22 in the Top 50 Mixed Schools by the Times. This year, pupils at St. Michael’s achieved an excellent 27 %A* grades and 60% A*-A grades; with a 100% pass rate.

The top pupils were Rishi Gupta and Thomas Walters who both achieved an outstanding 5A* grades each.

Rishi from Carmarthen gained his grades in Biology, Chemistry, Economics, Mathematics and Further Mathematics; he will now read Medicine at University College London.

Thomas from Gowerton gained his grades in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and Further Mathematics; he will now read Natural Sciences at St John’s College, Cambridge.

Rhys Jones (A*A*A*AA) from Swansea who has secured his place to read Mathematics at Warwick
Aayush Singh (A*A*A*AA) from Swansea to read Mechanical Engineering at Imperial College London
Christopher Shepherd (A*A*A*A a) from Swansea to read Physics at Manchester
Mariha Ashraf (AAAa) from Swansea to read Medicine at Bristol
Nikhil Pandit (AABB) from Carmarthen to read Medicine at Brighton

Our international students have also done exceptionally well. They include:

Ho Yenung (Brian) Leung (A*A*AA) from Hong Kong to read Chemistry with Medicinal Chemistry at Imperial
Jia Yu (Cheryl) Shen (A*A*AA) from China to read Accounting and Finance at Warwick

Other congratulations must go to Philippe Rodgers who achieved an A* in his A Level French. We wish him luck with his GCSE results next week.
