Most students will take 4 A Level subjects.

We understand the importance at this stage for each individual to gain the correct guidance when choosing subjects that will lead them onto their chosen degree path. We also believe in encouraging and fostering independent learning as a way of preparing our pupils for the demands of higher education.

At St. Michael’s we focus strongly on high value subjects and student application/entry into the top universities. Each year we have great success with student progression to degree courses in a wide range of subject areas, including some of the most competitive courses which attract many of our pupils – Dentistry, Finance, Law, Medicine and Pharmacy.

We always have a high ranking within the independent schools’ list and we pride ourselves on our students’ consistently strong results. We adopt an holistic approach to the university application process, helping pupils with personal statements, choices of course and institution, attendance to sixth form taster courses in Business, Law and Medicine as well as ensuring they focus on value aspects of their CV. This support regularly results in 100% entry into Higher Education.
