Gary Griffiths
Not only has he been featured as a ‘rising star’ in the BBC music magazine, but in his native Wales, Gary has enjoyed real acclaim, winning many awards and competitions. These include the prestigious MOSCA Young Welsh Singer of the Year Award – an award won by Bryn Terfel in 1988. It is not the only time Gary has followed in Bryn Terfel’s footsteps. In 2009 Gary was the second Welshman ever to win the Guildhall’s Gold Medal. Gary’s most recent achievement was to sing on 24th September as guest soloist at Barbican Hall in ‘Belshazzar’s Feast’ William Walton’s powerful oratorio.
