Year 13 Raise Money for HARP
Our Year 13 pupils have made a donation to the HARP- Holistic Acute Recovery Programme, through the proceeds raised from the sale of their school yearbook. The HARP programme is a local Hywel Dda charity that provides head and neck cancer patients and their families with holistic support and a better understanding of the long-term side effects of their treatment.
Head Girl, Vindya P said “As a Sixth Form, it has been an absolute delight to raise £100 for Hywel Dda University Health Board’s HARP (Holistic Acute Recovery Programme), through the year 13 yearbooks, and the end of school fancy dress day.
“Treatment for head and neck cancer can be difficult- both physically and mentally. We are so grateful to support a charity that provides patients recovering from cancer treatment, as well as their families, with advice, support, counselling services, and a better understanding of the long-term side effects of their treatment.
“I would like to personally thank everyone who contributed to and supported our fundraising efforts. As Head Girl, I am extremely proud to end the year on such a meaningful note.”
