Learning Life Skills
The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award is very popular with pupils in Years 9-13 and sees pupils carrying out volunteering in the local community, learning a new skill and completing a four-day camping expedition.
Pupils start with the Bronze award and many go on to achieve their Gold award. Those who complete their Gold award are invited attend a ceremony which is attended by a member of the Royal Family.
The Duke of Edinburgh Award is a great opportunity to try something new, whilst enhancing skills and qualifications at the same time.
