Discover Boarding at St. Michael’s

We accept boarding students from Years 9-13 and we offer the option of weekly or full boarding. Unlike many other schools, we remain open during half term holidays.

St. Michael’s boarding offers, strong pastoral care which is varied, imaginative and challenging. Our aim is to successfully motivate boarders so that they leave us as confident and self-disciplined individuals.

Boarding plays a vital role in the development of young people to be globally minded citizens ready for the challenges of life after school. Our boarding principles are very much based on personal development and pastoral care. We actively promote British values as well as cultural understanding and through this, mutual respect is built.

It’s more structured in boarding so there are less distractions than at home and it saves me time so I can prioritise schoolwork over travelling. Everybody is very friendly wherever they are from

I think that boarding life at St. Michael’s has been extremely welcoming and warm. The academics here are extremely good, this school prepares you well for your future. I came here because my older brother had a very positive experience as a boarding student.

I’m really enjoying my Maths and Physics lessons. Living in boarding allows me to play basketball, and I’ve made friends with my housemates from all over the world and my pool skills have improved. I enjoy studying as a group during prep time.
