Life in Sixth Form
The core of the Sixth Form is the Sixth Form Centre which houses several classrooms, study rooms and a common room which is exclusively used by pupils in the Sixth Form.
All pupils are required to attend and register at a number of supervised study periods per week and within these periods, checks are made on work completed and homework due. A member of the academic staff is always in attendance.
There is life beyond academic study, and we strive to ensure that our A-Level students are able to extend their range of activities and interests during their time at St. Michaels. In particular, there are many opportunities to develop leadership and professional skills by taking on a position of responsibility. There are a range of specific prefect roles, for example: environmental, learning, wellbeing, volunteering and digital. There are also multiple trips and visits on offer throughout the year and Sixth Formers make up the bulk of our charity committee, which hosts fundraising events across the school.
